The villa on Andrássy Avenue once belonged to Baron Ferenc Xavér Révay, a man considered an eccentric nobleman. He had no family, did not attend social events, and did not lead the lavish lifestyle typical of the aristocracy. He was a reclusive figure—a trait reflected in the design of the villa he commissioned. He lived on the first floor of the four-story property; the floor had few windows, effectively shielding his private life from prying eyes. The Baron made headlines following his death in December 1914, as he had bequeathed his entire fortune to his favorite valet. His family contested the will and, after a lengthy legal battle, ultimately succeeded in reclaiming the estate.

Following World War II, the building served as an office complex; at various times, it housed the headquarters of the National Council of Agricultural Cooperatives, the Patriotic People's Front, and finally the *Heti Válasz* periodical. After being sold, it became a private office building. Its renovation and modernization began in 2024. Plans call for it to operate as a luxury office building upon completion, providing over 1,100 square meters of space for the tenant company.
