Beech trees, oaks, and pine forests create the unique atmosphere of this natural area. Today, it is one of the most popular hiking destinations around Budapest, offering numerous trails for visitors to explore, and it can even be reached by the Children\u2019s Railway. At the beginning of the 20th century, the preservation of the forest was ensured by transforming the area into a recreational destination instead of allowing the trees to be cut down. The Queen of Angels Sanctuary in Budakeszi, Makkos Meadow, the Magask\u0151 lookout point, St. Michael\u2019s Rock, Wild Boar Spring, and Frog Lake<sup>1<\/sup> are all worth visiting when exploring the Budakeszi Forest.
