class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Hidden in the heart of a forest stands this nearly 150-year-old manor house, which has undergone a complete modern transformation. Its impressive open-plan living area\u2014including the kitchen, dining room, and lounge\u2014covers approximately 130 square metres, making it an ideal home for families seeking a close connection with nature without living in complete isolation.<\/p><p class=\"translation-block\">Gyapa, now part of the municipality of Paks, was formerly known as Gyapa-puszta and can be reached from Budapest in just under an hour and a half. Although it lies only a few minutes from the M6 motorway, the noise of traffic is nowhere to be heard. The reason is simple: the estate is surrounded by woodland, offering complete peace and privacy. Unfortunately, little is known about the original construction of the manor. What is certain, however, is that it was built during the 1870s or 1880s using high-quality materials. Even at that time, the designers placed great emphasis on spacious communal areas and exceptionally high ceilings of around five metres. During the mid-19th century, Paks was home to numerous noble landowners\u2014around fifteen major estates and many smaller ones\u2014and in 1847 no fewer than 247 noblemen were officially registered in the town<sup>1<\/sup>. The vision was to introduce contemporary comfort inside without altering the manor's historic exterior. Creating generous communal spaces was a key priority, resulting in a remarkable 130-square-metre open-plan area that combines the living room, kitchen, dining room, and dedicated spaces for both adults and children within the home's total floor area of 350 square metres.\nThe exposed wooden beams preserve the atmosphere of the historic manor, while the interior design and furnishings reflect the clean lines and understated elegance of contemporary living. One of the home's most striking features is the lush indoor green corner, equipped with an integrated irrigation system, reminiscent of the palm houses once found in grand castles\u2014reinterpreted here in a compact and highly practical form. Another highlight is the decorative fireplace, which makes use of the manor's original chimney. It creates a warm and intimate setting for family evenings spent talking over tea or a glass of mulled wine.
