A specialist who studies fossil plants. In the case of the manor house presented in this article, we are referring to G\u00e1bor Andre\u00e1nszky, who, besides his political career and role as a Member of Parliament, was also one of the most significant Hungarian botanists of the first half of the 20th century. The first written record of the settlement dates back to 1268, when it was still under the authority of the Cs\u00e1k noble family together with Fels\u0151pet\u00e9ny. In 1507, Als\u00f3pet\u00e9ny came into the possession of Istv\u00e1n Werb\u0151czy (a legal scholar and Palatine of Hungary), whose name may be familiar in connection with the Tripartitum law book. This work collected and described the legal regulations and customary law system of Hungary at the time. It was completed in 1514 and remained in force until 1848.<\/p>\n<p class=\"translation-block\">Turning our attention to the manor house, it was built in the Classical style as a single-storey building. Its owner and builder was Antal Somogyi. In the second half of the 18th century, the estate was purchased by S\u00e1ndor Andre\u00e1nszky, followed by Istv\u00e1n Andre\u00e1nszky, who held the position of State Secretary.
